The website www.trruk.co.uk (“the Website”) is operated by Task Risk & Resolution UK (“TRRUK”).

Task Risk & Resolution UK (“TRRUK”) is a limited liability partnership (“LLP”) authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, registered in England and Wales with registered number OC323570 whose registered office is at 321 Lanark Road, Edinburgh EH14 2LQ. For the avoidance of any doubt, although our members and some of our employees and consultants are referred to as "partners", they are not all members of the TRRUK. TRRUK is regulated by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority whose rules can be accessed via http://www.sra.org.uk/handbook/ A list of the members is open to inspection at the registered office. No member, partner, employee or consultant of TRRUK shall have any personal liability in respect of the Website.

1. Acceptance

Your use of the Website is subject to the following Terms & Conditions, which you are deemed to accept by using the Website. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site.

2. Copyright

The copyright and all other rights in the material on the Website are owned by us or are included with the permission of the owner of the rights. As a visitor to the Website, you may download a single copy of the material on the Website on a single computer for your own private viewing/listening purposes only. Single copies of pages from the Website may be printed out for the sole purposes of enabling the person printing the page to retain a copy for their own personal records. No copying or distribution of material on the Website for any commercial or business use is permitted without TRRUK’s prior written consent. Whilst TRRUK takes every care to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate and complete, some of it may be supplied by third parties and we are unable to check its accuracy or completeness. You are advised to verify the accuracy of any information before relying on it. Further, due to the inherent nature of the Internet, errors, interruptions and delays may occur in the service at any time. Accordingly, the Website is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind and we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the information or interruption in availability.

6. Linking to our Website

We welcome 'hot links' to the Home Page of our Website, but not 'deep linking' by which we mean that you may not include a link to any page of our Website that is not the Home Page. Neither may you display the contents of our Website (or any page from it) or allow it to be displayed surrounded or framed or otherwise surrounded by material not originating from us without our consent. On the Website you may be offered automatic links to other Websites. Whilst we hope you will be interested in those Websites, you acknowledge that the content on those pages is not subject to TRRUK’s control, their owners may be independent from us and we do not endorse or accept any responsibility for their content.

8. Computer viruses

TRRUK will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Website does not contain or promulgate any viruses or other malicious code. However, it is recommended that you should virus check all materials downloaded from the Website and regularly check for the presence of viruses and other malicious code. TRRUK excludes to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws all liability in connection with any damage or loss caused by computer viruses or other malicious code originating or contracted from the Website.

You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. “Tax Risk & Resolution”, are trade marks of TRRUK, which may be registered in certain jurisdictions. No use of these or any other trade marks of TRRUK may be made by you except for the purpose of referring to TRRUK or its associated brands lawfully and in good faith only.

10. Registration

On certain parts of the Website (eg our newsletter registration forms) we may require you to register and provide certain information about yourself and where you do this you are required to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the relevant registration form (such information being the "Registration Data") and (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data (by sending an appropriately worded email to [email protected]) to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.

11. Submission of Information/Data

Where information is provided to TRRUK you accept that electronic methods of communication cannot be 100% secure. TRRUK cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any damages (other than liability for death or physical injury arising out of the negligence of TRRUK or its officers or any liabilities that cannot, as a matter of law, be excluded) arising from the misuse or loss of data or information submitted by you to TRRUK, whether directly through the Website or otherwise. The provision of personal information by you and use of it by TRRUK is subject to TRRUK’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated in the Terms and Conditions.

12. Severability

In the event that any term of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms & Conditions shall remain valid and enforceable.

13. Variation of these Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions were last updated on 30 July 2018. TRRUK reserves the right to vary these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Such variations become effective immediately upon the posting of the varied Terms & Conditions on the Website. By continuing to use the Website you will be deemed to accept such variations.

TRRUK reserves absolutely the right to withdraw or suspend the Website where it deems this to be necessary without notice and will not be liable to you for such unavailability.

14. General

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall restrict or exclude any liability that we have to any party which cannot be excluded by law and in particular, and notwithstanding any term of these Terms & Conditions, our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence shall not be limited or excluded in any way.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
